The official opening ceremony of the "Improving the Quality of Foreign Language Education in Turkey Project", which is being carried out with the co-financing of the European Union and the Council of Europe with the cooperation of the Council of Europe and the Presidency of the Board of Education in order to support foreign language education in Turkey, was held in Ankara on 5 December. Our centre was represented by our deputy director Dr. Lecturer. It was stated that the project, which will last for five years, aims to increase the alignment of foreign language education in Turkey with internationally accepted standards, which are currently applied in the curricula of the Ministry of National Education, in particular with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (D-AOBM) and the Complementary Volume (2020) developed by the Council of Europe.
